Course Overview

This course offers the knowledge and skills to enable staff to undertake manual handling operations that cannot be avoided and where a risk of injury exists.  Delegates will learn how to assess the need and how to apply the correct techniques to undertake manual handling safely

You will then be able to:

Have an understanding of Manual handling. Undertake real life risk assessments and develop work practices to reduce injuries caused by incorrect handling 

Candidates will be encouraged to discuss their own work place experiences and to assess existing measures and work practices.

How will I be assessed?

You are assessed via a continuous assessment and practical exercises.

How long is the course?

Minimum of 4 hours
This course can be run on-site for up to 12 candidates
